International Friendship Day
According to the United Nations , 30th July is celebrated as the International Friendship Day. But India continues to celebrate this very special day on the first Sunday of August every year and this year it falls on 7th August.
Whatever the day is, the day of celebration has a great Importance in our society. No one can live alone in this great universe. And friends are there to play a vital role in everyone’s life. ‘Friendship’ is a word that deals with the state of providing love, affection, intimacy and trust between two people. A true friendship rather friends help to cope up any hard times or storms of one’s own life. Friendship is a very important relationship throughout a person’s whole life span.
Having a good friendship is always carries the mutual, unconditional love , affection, compassion and kindness for each other. A true friendship always makes one wealthy person mentally and emotionally. All over the world, irrespective of caste, creed, sex and religion, each and everyone praises the values of friendship. When people travel, if they get their friends as companion, it becomes more joyous. Friends can create some good memories and increase the level of happiness. Similarly, if anyone shares sorrows with friends, they have the ability to reduce or heal it.
So at the end of the day, we must say that a good friendship is synonymous to constant support, love and attention for each other that needs to be cherished. So when it has such a power to have a better, healthy life, then there should have a special day to celebrate friendship. That’s why the day is observed throughout the world pompously through various activities and events. Friends tie the friendship band to one another for strengthening the bond between them. Thus the day is creating special meaning globally.
