Introduction:

National Parents’ Day is a very important day that is celebrated to pay honour to our beloved parents. Like United States and many other countries, India also celebrates this day on the fourth Sunday in July and in 2024 it is on 28th July.

Origin of celebrating the day:

In 1994 , when President Bill Clinton signed a Congressional Resolution into law for “recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children.” The  Republican Senator Trent Lott introduced the bill. From then the day is being celebrated in most of the countries.

Theme:

Like other days, this day also keeps a theme every year to make the day more special. This year the theme is “The Promise of Playful Parenting.”

Cause of celebrating this day:

The main motto to celebrate this day is to honour all the parents. They play a vital role in the lives of children. Their unconditional love and sacrifice for their children can’t be measured with anything in the world. Though, only one day is not enough to thank them, still the day is very special for them.

Significance of the day:

Parents are the real heroes for every child. Parents play a very important role for the upbringing and growth of their children. Parents know what would be the ideal path for them. As they do all these for their children unconditionally, only one dayis not enough to pay honour to them. Still, the day marks of appreciation for the commitment of parents towards their children.

The day includes public and private celebrations specially for the beloved parents. The day is dedicated to respect the love, support, and countless sacrifices parents make for their children. The day remind the children to pause and express their heartfelt gratitude. It’s an opportunity to tell parents, “Thank you,” not just with words but through actions and expressions of love.
